Zipper Creek
As promised, this is Part II of the fishing trip. I had to be rather inventive about my approach to photographing our day on the water, I was sworn to secracy about the location of where we went fishing.
In the world of fly fishing, you can get lynched by your fellow anglers if you “leak” information about a fishing hole that is secluded and unknown to the general public… hence the title “Zipper Creek”, every single location that is secret is called “Zipper Creek”. We just so happened to be at one of these locations and I was threatened to be lynched if I wasn’t discreet about my photographs!
In-camera I masked out some of the location with branches and leaves, I then further doctored it in Photoshop just to be absolutely certain it was not identifiable!

Preperation
My significant other is an avid fly fisherman and he just so happens to be planning a day trip tomorrow.
I thought it only appropriate to document the process starting with the night before, which entails packing and gathering of all his fly fishing gear, and ending tomorrow with him on the water.

Sun Kissed
I had the afternoon off from playing hostess/tour guide so I went on a little drive to explore the area we just moved to.
This little pod of trees caught my eye because of the way the setting sun was shining through them and ever so slightly lighting each and every leaf. It also caught my attention because they were the only trees with vegetation growing up the length of trunks, they looked out of place and beautiful all at the same time. Thus making them photo-worthy in my books!

Creatures of the Sea
We spent the day at the Vancouver Aquarium, a place that I could probably spend many many hours just wandering from tank to tank watching each and every species of fish and plant.
These jelly fish are just a small example of some of the majestic and fascinating creatures I acquainted myself with today. Perhaps someday I will be able to combine the two loves of photography and the ocean through underwater photography.

Symmetry
My apologies, I missed a post! We have a 17 year old house guest who is internet deprived and he hijacked my laptop for the day… hence the reason my Day 35 post is being posted a little later than usual.
We spent yesterday in China Town again, I snapped this symmetrical image of the archway leading into China Town. It was a gorgeous day, and despite being mid afternoon, the sun didn’t wash everything out. Very little post production was required since the lighting was perfect, and so was the final image and all on its own.. gotta love it when that happens!
